As simple a service as Twitter may be, sending out tweets isn’t. On iOS, you have to launch a Twitter app, tap a button to activate the tweet-input box, face unnecessary information and, finally, tap the Send button.
Alright, so that may actually be quite simple, but this new app we came across today makes the process even simpler.
Developed by Devin Snipes, FastTweet+ is a Twitter app that allows you to, well, send out tweets. The special bit about this app is how it simplifies the process of tweeting and, in doing so, makes sending out tweets as fast as possible. There is no timeline, support for DMs as well, the aim; to send out tweets quickly and efficiently. You just simply activate the app itself, type in your tweet and tap Send (you can add location if you wish).
From Cydia:
Requires iOS 5 or higher
This app WILL ONLY work on iOS 5 capable devices.
FastTweet+ allows you to tweets [sic] to Twitter. It’s that simple and it’s this free.
We have tested the app on an iPhone 4 and can confirm that it works as advertised. Keep in mind that the tweak is supported by iOS 5 only since it has the built-in Twitter API.
If you prefer to keep your iOS un-jailbroken, you can always try out InstaTweet for iOS 5 which offers similar functionality but with the added eye-candy and simplicity, which we like here at Redmond Pie. We found InstaTweet to be more polished during testing, but you will have to fork out $0.99 for the better experience while FastTweet+ is completely free.
Interested? You can try out FastTweet+ for free from Cydia under the one and only; BigBoss repository. Let us know what you think of it in the comments section over on our Facebook page.
