Discover Your Most-Used Apps With ‘App Stat’ For iPhone

With iOS 5 now the focal point of attention as far as iDevice users are concerned, that doesn’t necessarily mean that every iPhone, iPad and iPod touch user has readily leapt into the fruit company’s latest mobile software abyss.

There are a number of reasons for persevering with iOS 4 – namely the untethered jailbreak capabilities provided by the cherished dev teams. Some, albeit very few, prefer to stick with it because they cannot see much wrong with it; after all, aside from dodgy notifications, it’s a solid OS that has served consumers well for the 15 months leading up to mid-October.

For those reasons, it’s great that Cydia developers are still creating tweaks compatible with the older firmwares as opposed to just the latest one. Often by sticking with what you’re happy with, you miss out on many tweaks as their creators decide to migrate to the newest platform.

That’s not the case with this latest tweak though. Called App Stat, it provides detailed figures regarding your app usage – namely how often you use them, and how long for.

At face value, it doesn’t seem like a particularly enchanting app, but actually, it is very interesting to see how much you lean upon certain apps, and although you’ll obviously have a fair idea of which apps you frequent, you may be very surprised to see the numbers in black and white.
